The Visentools project aims to investigate your use of physical artefacts to visualise in small group meeting contexts. As part of this project, we will conduct face-to-face small group meetings with 4 participants in which you will discuss a business management and development topic (i.e., customer engagement strategies) using physical artefacts.

Different facilitation methods (e.g., self-facilitation or coordinated) will be applied to these group meetings. The meetings will take around two hours each and include three parts: a warm-up task, an individual task, and a group task.

This study will investigate your usage of physical artefacts (e.g., LEGO pieces) in small face-to-face group meetings for business management and development tasks.

Our project Visentools is a research-to-business project funded by Business Finland and Aalto University.

No compensation will be paid to you. Some refreshments and snacks will be available at the study meetings.

Your participation in this research study is entirely voluntary. You have the right to discontinue participation at any time without obligation to disclose any specific reasons, but all the data gathered up until that point can be used.

The meetings will be video/audio recorded to allow collection of meeting data for thematic analysis, as well as interaction analysis of group processes. Two of you will also be wearing eye-tracking glasses for recording your eye-tracking data. Eye-tracking glasses are safe eyewear, which record the direction of gaze. The data collected during the meetings will also be used for comparing meetings conducted using different types of physical artefacts (e.g., LEGO pieces versus other 3D objects).
